Women’s World Cup would be played — all 52 matches — on artificial turf.
Among the complaints were charges of discrimination, including the statement
that
men’s matches would never be allowed on anything but good, green grass. Actually, men’s matches have
been played on artificial surfaces, including hybrid surfaces during the 2010
World Cup in South Africa...
